Fred developed CheckFree's in-house Strategy organization, which provided internal consulting on product strategy, new business development, key account strategies, pricing strategy, competitive intelligence, business case development, industry analyst relationship management, strategic partnership negotiations, and merger and acquisition evaluations.
He is a primary author of CheckFree's first five-year electronic commerce strategic plan. An electronic bill pay visionary, he is able to fuse analytics and extensive industry knowledge, visualizing future market evolution, often long before others in the market.
Fred established the Product Design organization that designed CheckFree Web, the most successful consumer payment and bill presentment products in the industry. Additionally, he participated extensively in the conceptual design of the highly customized payment and bill presentment product still used today by Bank of America.
