Peter Moenickheim is a leading expert on electronic payment remittance rates, processing costs, claim rates, processor conversions, and state-of-the-art risk management and fraud detection tools in the U.S.

Peter held senior leadership positions at CheckFree Corporation from 1997 to 2005, where he created highly successful Payment and Risk Management organizations that managed 800 million payments per year with $500 billion of associated credit and fraud risk. His organization led the industry with unmatched electronic payment remittance rates, processing costs, claim rates, returned payment rates, credit write-offs, fraud losses, and paper check print & insert quality.

Peter brought state-of-the-art risk management and fraud detection tools and techniques to CheckFree. He has broad experience developing payment and risk management components for electronic commerce products, and holds numerous patents in these areas.

During his tenure, Peter was a key subject matter expert for strategic planning, business case development, strategic partnership and acquisition evaluations. He is a primary author of organization's Payment Electronification Strategy, and a primary architect of their industry-leading Biller Direct Connect remittance network.

Prior to CheckFree, Peter held senior leadership positions with the credit card divisions of FirstUSA (now part of Chase) and The Associates (now part of Citibank). At The Associates, he had responsibility for over $2 billion in consumer receivables.
